OTC MUSIC SERIES

ORGANIZER: MARNIE KLEIN

The purpose of the OTC Music Series is to establish The Brooks as a viable concert venue for performing artists, enrich the artistic presence in downtown Oceanside, and offer a quality concert entertainment option to residents and tourists in North San Diego County.

As some of us may recall, Oceanside used to host a summer concert series at the amphitheater, featuring headlining rock and roll acts. One of the goals in establishing the OTC Music Series was to fill this void. OTC began its music series in 2012 with its inaugural event, Blue Christmas, which featured the premiere jazz ensemble, Blue Chunks. The event was a holiday collision of jazz and art, which eventually led to the establishment of a fine art gallery in the theatre lobby, known today as The Gallery at The Brooks Theatre.

Since 2012, OTC has averaged three to four concerts a year, featuring jazz, classical, blues, country, American roots music and rock and roll. Concert goers are invited to arrive early for Happy Hour featuring snacks, drink specials and preshow entertainment in the theatre lobby. As always, The Gallery at The Brooks Theatre offers an additional sensory experience for show patrons. The OTC Music Series events not only offer quality entertainment, but they positively impact local business, restaurants and hotels with theatre traffic and establish Oceanside as a vibrant destination for arts and culture.
